Default Warning, you are leaving the mission area."

That damn box never went away when I was playing tonight. I crashed my plane (oops) outside the mission area, and for the rest of my time on the server, I had to stare at the "Warning, you are leaving the mission area (3 seconds)" box. Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't try leaving the mission area again, to see if that would enable it and perhaps "disable" it. Yea, this game has a few bugs that need to be resolved.

Default Oh yeah...

I've been disconnected 4 times while playing. Just got the game today. I have DSL. There is no warning, it just spits me out and says, "Error, you have been disconnected" or something like that.

Yea, I tried escaping and re-entering. Didn't do anything :-(. The box stayed there, through several games. That's what really suprised me.

I have seen it a few times but thought of it as a server problem. Or if someone is remote editing the server and they dork the connection in the process. I have crashed a server doing just that. Trying to ban someone.

Default Well...

I care because I would like to see this game actually make it. Small bugs like that are usually a sign there are other bugs... I have a whole stack of games that never recieved the support they required and most turned out to be flops. Infact, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament, and Return to Castle Wolfenstien are the only 3 "quality" games that have been produced for PC's in the last 4 years (haven't played Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, but I hear it's good). This game just needs some major polishing.

Default warning sign error

ya, i ran into that problem earlier today, and heres how i fixed it

i went into a spot where the warning would normally pop up, walked into the "danger zone" so i know the sign would come up again, and then left and it look the "ghost" warning that had been stuck on my screen for 3 games away with it.

that should work for everyone else as well

Default Cool

Thx. I figured that would work, but I exited to post a comment about it b4 I tried it. Next time I will do that. Surely the developers will know about it, and hopefully patch the problem.

bf1942 is a sweet game! I got my fingerz crossed in hopes that they support the game. One day game makers (mainly publishers) will realize that dedication is what makes or breaks a game, especially in the PC industry. Look at Half-Life. There are thousands of people still playing is as we speak. And it's how old, 1998? Thats almost 5 years old. They are still patching it too...
