Just a thing i see quite regulary, peoples different behaviour on death in BF.
Some seem to take quite seriously, like a player leaving a damaged tank and running away so he doesnt get killed, the damaged tank falling into enemy hands. Player lives, but enemy has a kingtiger for the rest of the round. Or in situations like omaha beach, stalingrad etc. where many have to attack at once and most will die, there are always people laying in holes and waiting for the others to run into the fire and die until everything is secure. Me personally i dont care at all if im die. I usually have most deaths on the servers regardless if im #1 or midfield, lol. I can die from mg fire 50 times just so i get through 1 time and get the flag. Or i suicide at every chance if i can harm the enemy with it. Or running infront of a tank so he fires at me, so my teams tank can get the first hit and kill it. |

LOL.
I usually take cover when i notice im the only one rushing in Omaha. I always run in but no one ever follows. Damn tards ill tell you... Sometimes i dont care if i die, sometimes i do. Depends how well im doing. If im on a roll, my instincts and reflexes seem to double, so i do everything possible to avoid death. |

meh - it's a game, and I respawn in 20 seconds or less, most times...
They don't call me MeatShield for nothing! ![]()

Really I dont care much about dying on most maps. I´m more of a grunt that´ll just keep on fighting untill he falls just to come back 20 seconds later and repeat.
After all I play as Infantrie in my clan. But that dosn´t mean I dont care about my KDR. It depends on the Map. On FHs Charlie Sector I dont mind dying. On pure Infantrie Maps like Karelia or Zilona Gora my Score does matter to me since thats what this Map is all about.

Go one step farther, I prefer taking out a tank with a landmine and recieved a -1 score than any other method. I end up like 12-30-40 in BG42 or mods with a lot of tanks, while the number 1 guy is like 24-.. The only time i get a bit pissed about dieing is when I have a plane/heli. If you fucking stinger my apache, I'm coming after you bitch.

Personnally I wouldn't mind dying as much if I didn't die so often! I look at the scoreboard at various times in the game(while waiting to respawn) and I see guys with a score of like 43 and 20 kills, while I have a score of 9 and 3 kills. Doing the best I can, but it just seems that I get owned by everyone. Anyway, it gets frustrating. I will jump out of a tank that is about to explode, or bail from a plane, but I always make sure I finish it off so noone else can get it, mainly the enemy. But why die if theres a chance I can do more good alive.

First off dying has no penalties which is useless. You just respawn seconds later, and some people proceed to do dumbass things like use only fighter in the map do drop behind enemy lines, only to get run over by a tank that is patiently watching them land.
I dont MIND dying, id rather not but with no penalties except a death and 15 seconds of waiting, its nothing to get worked up over. |

dying doesnt really matter unless you are the top guy on the map, but one more death will mean you go second,
or when you've waited for hours to fly this one plane and then realise that an enemy tank is waiting on the runway. For me without dying would mean that eventually you'd run out of ammunition and have to run back to an ammo depot! :P
