I was wondering if there where people playing with a FOV greater than 1?? and if so what value do you recommend?
Do you think a FOV greater than default is giving you an big advantage?? I once played with a fov greater than 1 but can't remember the setting...the only disadvantage I know is that the interior of vehicles get messed up. |

I have heard that the disadvantages out weigh the advantages, and its best to leave it at defualt-can't remember why though, hmm ,framerate loss, can't see as far? , can't remember. I think about page 7 or so, "advanced tweaking" in the "BF 1942 Tweak guide," bottom right of page, if memory serves, talks about it:
http://www.tweaktown.com Edit age 4 " View Distance – The higher the percentage, the more of your surroundings you can see, but the lower your performance for it. This setting affects gameplay a great deal, because if an opposing player has a higher view distance than you, they'll see you first and thus have the advantage. I recommend leaving this at or near the 100% mark. Lower other settings first to gain fps before lowering this. " http://www.tweaktown.com/document.ph...Id=420&dPage=4 |
