Default Forums slowing down?

The forums seem to be slowing down a lot lately , especially the BF1942 forums. Where's everyone posting these days?

Not really much you can do about it. Support for BF 1942 has stopped, the game has come to the end of its evolution.

Most people here just play the Mods and prefer to visit other Forums to chat about them.

Cest la vie.

These were my first Forums I go really addicted to, but even I must admit that I´ve moved on...

I hear that. I check here but out of almost two years attending, how many "new" things can you really talk about with BF. Its all pretty much been said or asked already.

The only new things are just new people asking the same questions from 14 pages back. Like Dick said, the Evolution of BF is nearing its end as far as mainstream goes.

Well, theres a difference between a Mod and an game like BF. Mods keep growing and always more and more stuff is beeing added.

Unlike a normal game a Mod never comes to its end...(ok, sooner or later it does, but not as soon)

No, No, There is a new BF 1.7 patch coming out by June 30th. It will combine all the best aspects of Vanilla, DC, BF Vietnam, with a little EOD thrown in for seasoning.

Also, inside sources at EA /Dice tell me the game will run with full graphics at 200 frames per second with 128 mB ram, PB is updated to melt the PC and explode the moniter, sending heated shards of glass into the face of would-be hackers.....

OK, Ok, just trying out rumour-mongering to puff wind into sails caught in the Doldrums.......

The worst thing that happened to public vanilla BF1942 mass join maps was the shitty Vote patch.
PunkBuster pretty much took care of cheaters. TK'ers not present now.
No talent noobs who spend the entire map exerting the power to
vote someone off. That's a power in itself. BRILLIANT MOVE DICE.

I offered up a Poll. Limit the numbers of times any joiner could call for a
vote. The reply posts just talked about how many seconds before player could call for another vote.

It's hard to get thru a map now without some runt calling for you to be kicked just cause you have more kills. Time after time.

Really...BF1942 is getting pathetic. Hardly any kick votes are for team killers.

Read back my poll post. LIMIT HOW MANY VOTES PER MAP ANY ONE PERSON CAN MAKE. Then vote.
Doesn't matter...the mindset of pub joiners today is...
Vote passes. Lead player kicked.

What cool Vanillla servers have Voting OFF and moderators who aren't itching to use kick powers if you use a slang word now and then?

I really miss our BFNation Oval office type players.

Yea ive also noticed a general lack of interesting content on these boards as of late, not less threads but just less interesting conversation.

OT is pretty much all thats left.

Maybe putting the BFV section on top of the BF1942 section would liven things up a bit (ahem - Bort!). Seems like most people play BFV now and it's been said before that the BF1942 discussion is basically over.

I dunno if it's worth putting BFV over BF1942. BFV seems like a flop to me, don't know how long it will last. I have a P4 2.66 GHz with 512 mb RAM and a radeon 9800, and BFV runs like crap. There really is no reason why it should.

Ah well. I hope you'll all stick around a little longer. There are hopefully going to be some big changes happening to BFN soon that should increase the number of posts

I'm actually kind of looking forward to BF2 aswell, even though I don't like the modern combat scenario. I have a feeling this engine is going to be a lot more smooth and finely tuned. Just my two cents.
