Quick connect for BF1942 & TeamSpeak2

Here is how to make BF1942 & TeamSpeak quick connect with two clicks:

Make a new text file, copy & paste this into it:

@echo off
start teamspeak://teamspeak.pdxclan.com/nickname=*name*?channel=BF1942
cd \Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\
BF1942.exe +restart 1 +joinServer 216.183.109.33

Replace the *name* with your handle, you can call the file whatever you want (I call mine pdX BF1942 & TS) but it must end in .bat, save the file

double click on that and you'll start BF1942 connecting to the pdX server and TS will load and place you in the BF1942 channel

Here's how to do a quick connect with TS2:

Create a shortcut that points to:
teamspeak://teamspeak.pdxclan.com/nickname=*name*?channel=BF1942

Now, for you stupid folk (you know who you are)
right click on this link: teamspeak://teamspeak.pdxclan.com/nickname=*name*?channel=BF1942 - click copy link location - go to your desktop - right click on your desktop - new - shortcut - paste that link we you copied earlier in the location box -replace *name* with your handle - hit next - type the name you want (I'm using "pdX TS BF1942") - hit finish

That'll set it up so one double click will launch TS, connect it to the proper server, and put you in the proper channel

substitute IPs, .exes, channels, and handles where appropriate and this should translate to BFv and other servers easily. Also worth mentioning again that for any shortcut that points to BF1942.exe adding +restart 1 to the target helps a lot, so in the target box it will look like:

"CProgram Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1
