Default Another "Disconnected from Server" problem.

Ok, I am sure that you guys are sick of this one too. I have been playing BF1942 for about 2 yrs on my old system. I just bought a new system with:
Athlon 64
ATI 9800xt
1GB

This is a fresh install of BF1942 with the 1.6 patch.
I can't get into any multiplayer games with more than 5 people in them. I CAN get into any 0-5 player games and everything works great. However, I notice that my ping is always "0" when I do get in. Any other game with more than 5 playes in it and I get the hated "Disconnected from Server" at about 2/3 the way through the map loading. If I get into a game and the number of players increases high enough then I get "Disconnected" at the next map change.
My old computer still runs everything perfectly through the same router.
I have already tried unistalling and reinstalling and I called EA support and went through all the regular dxdiag tests etc. They have no idea.
Cycling the power to my DSL modem doesn't do squat.

Any ideas from the BF1942 gurus?
