I am getting no sound or mouse action

i have:
windows 98
Directx 9.0
256mb ram
georce4 mx485/mx480e for video card
muse 5.1 sound card

sound work after instilation but the mouse didnt so i quit out and tried again but then the sound went to and then at the start there is no mouse cursor movement. i am not a computer genis but can do things if told how, easy enough. if i could get some help it would be much apricieated. cheers

Your sound card might not be pushed in all the way for one. About the mouse Try cleaning it....or......does this only happen once you start the game?

sometimes I get mouse action at my house, but thats a whole nother story...
