Default Pc restarting

Hi, when im playing any of my games, like BF1942, jedi academy, neverwinter nights etc...after a while of playing my pc reboots itself.Ive been trying to fix this for a while, could this possibly be due to a dodgy looking power socket my pc is connected to...or is that just a bizare theory of hope...?

FYI...there are like 4 threads recently posted in this forum all with similar problems. Not sure what to make of this though.

I know for my issue that the restarts seem to coincide with the game changing resolution/screen settings. This seems to be triggering a fault in windows and the whole pc reboots.

For example are you getting a WinXP error message when your pc finally gets back to the desktop? If so what does it say?

Default hmm

well...i went into some folder and clicked on something that makes a blue screen pop up instead of just shutting itself down and its saying somthing like 1RQL DRIVER NOT EQUAL OR LESS or something like that...but if that means theres a driver problem i think its bull sh*t, because i made a seperate drive with windows 2000 and only installed essential drivers (the ones i got with my computer)

well you may want to try and Download more up to date drivers.. Also another thing you may want to get some more RAM. another 256 would do wonders.

Default drivers

I already do have up to date drivers....just not on win 2000...which is just there to see if it was my origional drivers causing the problem...

I have a simialr probelm, except that my PC reboots itself. I allways have to turn off the whole electrixity, otherwise it even turns itself on.
The only time it turns off properly is when you only use it for a few moments. But as soon as I start playing, I will allways have to turn off the electrixity, otherwise it reboots.
