Well hung

Why do I play MOH almost exclusively? Oh yeah, I remember, because BF locks up my damn machine. I think I've put together a pretty decent system, but obviously not good enough for BF. So, the question is, what DOES work with BF. I have all the latest drivers/patches for my hardware/game, and here are my system specs:

OS: XPhome
MoBo: Asus P4S8X-X (sis648)
CPU: P4 2.8
Vid: Radeon 9800 pro
Sound: Hercules Fortissimo 3
Ram: 1 gig ddr (333)
BF1942 1.45 patch (came with Secret Weapons)

I can usually get about 60 seconds into a game (single player) before BF hangs my machine. Funny thing is there are about 5 maps I can play no prob - the rest, well, back to MOH.
