After patching, I get invalid cd key errors...

I installed the new 1.45 patch, the new version of DC, and the new version of EoD. I fired up the game, ready to have a good time, and lo and behold, I can't play internet games because my cd key is invalid. I purchased the game, it was never owned by anyone else, and I haven't given out my cd-key to anyone else. I'm guessing it's a problem in the patch. Any ideas?

Reinstalled, and it now works again. I'll see if either mod causes problems for me.

I am having the same problem... I own a copy of battlefield (store bought not from a friend) and I have been playing Battlefield... more specificly desert combat online now for the better part of a year. I just installed the new BF patch to 1.45 and the new desert combat 4j patch and now I keep getting an invalid CD key mesage.

I assume it's a problem with one of those patches, and if reinstalling BF stopped the message from occuring than that pretty well cements that idea so does anyone know hoe to remedy that problem?

I have read a few things about changing my registry but that's a bit scary I know nothing about that stuff. I actually did try and I noticed that the cd key displayed in the reg is not the same as the one I typed in.. I then attempted to change it by selecting the new key option and it made a new folder underneath it instead of changing the key number... Any suggestions would be very much appreciated... Im starting to wig out here.. I need more BF.

Did you reinstall everything? The official site has some troubleshooting info that you might want to check out as well.

Well I re-installed everything and battlefield runs fine no more invalid cd error... however desert combat appears to be hooped. I keep getting kicked to desktop and if I do get in when I go to the spawn interface I can only see the sniper class.. all others are solid grey... Also noticed I don't have the intro video for DC. This is strange because last install i had both but I'd get an invalid cd error... very very annoying.
