That is a very valit question. Anyone know the answer to this... is this a highspeed Internet game only?

I wasn't aware that 65k people had problems playing?!

DICE once stated this game was going to be playable for all connection, and it is.

I know several 56K people 0wning the whole game with an average ping of 150.

Yeah...

The data has to go through a lot longer cable, which could cause a lot of package loss, and a high ping. I'm not an expert in there things, but I do know the basics

The closer the server is to you, the better.

I read a post on the 'other' boards that for 20 players, 5 hours pushes 20 GB across the internet!!

That's a friggin' lot for 5 hours, WAY more than like DoD/HL - broadband is the only way to handle the high amount of packets going back/forth in this game.

I'd be willing to be that you would still experience unsatisfactory performance w/ 128. Unless you can setup a lan for you and your friends of course.

Dont forget though that it has alot to do w/ the server your connecting to. If that server can't be quickly reached by your ISP then no matter how fast your connection your going to have trouble.
