Default To all those who received two copies!

I implore you to send it back.

EB made a mistake and, per the law, you probably have the right to keep it. But imagine that you made a mistake and someone had the chance to help you out on it. Would you want them to "take it and run like a mudda" as one poster put it. No, you wouldn't. You would hope that they were honest and would do the right thing.

You have integrity. Keep your integrity in and send it back.

I agree with DiesMardi.

This 'll cost DICE and EB much money, and that wouldn't be fair imo.

I'm not trying to offence anyone, neither trying to act like a *cough* wiseass *cough*, neither trying to raise my post count (if I would have, I would have been banned for a long long time ) but I'd see this as.. well.. as repeating things. lol.

There is a verb for this called spamming. :P

Oh, come on. You're just jelaous (seriously)! And besides, EA and DICE won't get hurt. The electronic store that made the mistake is.

IF I had been fortunate enough to receive 2 copies from EB I would look at it from THIS angle...

How many times in my life have I been screwed on something and just had to take the loss and deal with it?

Well nobody's forcing you to return it...

If you want to keep it, that's your right.
I won't hold it against you or anything.

Yes, but if you were posting hypothetically and I was posting hypothetically doesnt that cancel the two out and make it an actual arguement?? Oh god, what have I done!

The fact of the matter is that this mistake will hurt somebody. It may be the distributor, or the publisher or perhaps the developer. In the end, it doesn’t make much of a difference.

Personally if it were I, I would return it. The company has acknowledged that they made a mistake, and has taken steps to remedy it at no additional charge to their customers. My integrity is worth more to me than the price of a computer game.

I guess what you have to ask yourself is, what is your integrity worth?

Thats true the company did recognize their mistake and is trying to remedy it, but do you honestly believe that if the money you sent EB for your copy "disappeared" and they never sent the game they would be just as willing to make ammends?

Higgins hit it just right. It's about your integrity level. You will always know that a mistake was made and you would rather "benefit" from it than make things right. In actuality you are not benefitting from anything. You are just lowering your integrity.

Well... kinda funny this whole thing.

I think I was the first to point out that I got two copies. And before much of the discusion happend I was acctually talking with my wife about it.
And here is what I said:
Quote:
I ordered one, and I am happy with just one. Heck I am happy I got it as fast as I did. I'd be happy to send it back to EB if it doesn't cost me any hustle and/or money
Well... from the sound of it it might costs me at least some hustle. I am not willing to drive 15 miles for them to drop it off. If they send someone to my place and pick it up I will most likly returne it.

Just an FYI I bought the game from Software Etc. I can get it from them just as fast as if I overnight shipped it.

I'll have to agree that integrity is the issue here. Sure, legally you can keep it, stick your tongue out at them, and say "neener neener neener." Integrity often is described as what you would do if no one was looking. It seems, though, that it means nothing these days. It all just depends on what is important to you.

I could care less what you do. It's a personal matter for an individual to work out with themself. Just a little food for thought, though.
