Any one else having conncetion problems with the new 1.1 patch? Everything worked fine for me until the patch came along. Now getting connected is quite time consuming. when I click on a listed server, its ping rate usually jumps up to 9999. Don't think my machine is to blame, (150 kbps adsl, p4 1.6, 640mb ram, 7500 radeon). And besides, before the patch, it worked fine.... Any one else?

Take a look at the other threads dealing with connection problems... You'll find some answers.
I had a similar problem at first and then it went away. It took a while before the "update" button produced some results (a list of servers), and when it did most servers pinged out at 9999. Click on the "refresh" a few times and that should go away. I dunno what's up with that, but it sucks when it happens. One way I averted the "disconnect" problem was by putting in "xxxyyyzzz" without the quotes in the "server" box, that way the ingame browser stops looking for new servers. But I put that in just before I enter a game. Chef |
