Default CMON NOW...ATI Radeon 9800 Pro!!!

This is arguably the best card on the market. My game runs fast but STILL once in a while randomly exits to the desktop. This makes no sense. My computer has 2.6 gigahurtz and pentium 4. Hmm what else...120 gb hard drive. Can someone explain to me why it's constantly exiting?

That often happens when memory is overclocked.
And you could try to reinstall BF and Windows.
