Do you love Battlefield 1942 (BF1942)? Have you ever dreamed of a tournament for BF1942 with a $5000 cash prize on the East Coast? Starting August 23-24, a short series of LAN Games for the East Coast of the United States could lead up to such an event. But it can only happen with your support and the support of the BF1942 community. Counter-Strike (CS) dominates the LAN scene and we want to show that CS is not the only game in town. Xcelerator provides the best in Local Area Network (LAN) Gaming just outside Washington DC. Located in the Holiday Inn Select in Chantilly, VA we offer 8 restaurants, 2 bars, T1 internet access, three dedicated game servers, free BAWLS, and much more. All at the low price of only $30 when prepaid online, $40 at the door. Our network consists of over 2 miles of CAT 5e network cabling connected to a fully switched core of NETGEAR switches. Our servers run at a minimum 1 GHz clock speed and a minimum 1 Gig Ram in 4U rack mount cases. Comfort, speed, and the best in LAN Gaming are what Xcelerator is all about. If you’re a serious gamer you should consider getting 10 of your friends together to compete in one of the cash prize tournaments leading to the final LAN event of the season. Registration is open now for FREE! We need your support to host these tournaments! We will have two warm up qualifying tournaments then the 5000 dollar tournament. Again, I can not stress enough; without you we can not have these events so sign up for FREE on our site for the next LAN event and let’s make it a BF1942 only event! Register now at www.xceleratorgaming.com and to get the BF1942 tournament of your dreams on the East Coast!

WOW FEED ME TO THE TIGERS while your at it! I am just a dude with a dream man. I want a large LAN on the east coast and I would love to have a Battlefield LAN only! Little or no CS! What is so wrong about that?
As for advertising I plead guilty but what else am I supposed to do? How do I get the word out with NO Money for advertising? I spent all my money on the network and site. (Which is first class) As for me making any money on this FORGET IT! I lose money every time I put a LAN on. I bust my A@! for a no pay and for the love of the game. I need your help! If I do not get some help soon I do not know how much longer we can keep losing money and have regular LANs in the Mid-Atlantic region. In an area deviod of regular LAN Parties I thought that the response would be greater. I hope that still is true but again we can not do it with out YOU! Sign up for free on our site and let us know your coming. It has been handed down from management that if we do not have 25 people signed up for the next LAN we will be forced to cancel. Signing up is easy and free so what are you waiting for MOVE OUT SOLDIER! Regards, Paul "Piper" Zedeck Chief Gaming Officer

If your in our area please let us know. We would welcome you and any one you know at our LAN. The great thing about the site that we have is that the hotel rooms are down the hall from the Xcelerator LAN. So you can walk barefoot if you like to your room, shower, come back in shorts and a t-shirt and frag some more! It is almost like being home except you have 79 other people there playing battlefield. Or so that is the idea.
Like I keep saying we need you guys to register with the site. If people see that other people are signing up they will sign up and a snowball will get going. Sign up if you think there is a remote chance in H#;; of your coming. Thanks! Piper

That is way cool! Do they do that in San Jose? LAN Gaming on the easy coast is a tougher market. LAN Gaming seems to be much more established on the west coast. More the reason for us to have this tournament here in Washington DC!

there's about 10 chains here like "pc201" and "gameport" and we used to host at other people's facilities. 9 out of 10 close in the first 6 months.
but now we have our own 100 seat location with dual t1 connections, a cisco catalyst 9000 120 port switch, 15 2.0 p4 servers and 12 xp 2200+ rentals. our house counterstrike team is #4 in the world (they just got pushed out at cpl cause of resheduling and them being 9 minutes late) and we host private parties every weekend. it's kind of established. the balance is the key. you make it too structured and people get turned off. you make it too loose where peeps have to make their own pickup games and they get bored. on saturday though we have a good time. our normal tourneys 5v5 CS, 5v5 q3 ra3, 5v5 3wave, q3 insta-gib, and 8v8 bf42 tournaments will also be joined by 8v8 dc, 8v8 star wars galactic battlegrounds, and a pickup game of secret weapons of ww2.so if anyone in california wants to come and play (for tube sox not cash) please see the gratuitous advertising in my sig. our door prizes are donated by nvidia, ati, alienware, compex, rugged LAn rigs, cooler master, bawls, directron and newegg. our music is provided by Dj Chris ewan (trance... yuk) and the pizza is free. come see our house CS team #4 in the world as they play 5 vs 25 in an exhibition game and see the via technologies team put a hurt on the nvidia nforcers in bf1942. ![]() good luck piper, you're gonna need it. |
