whenever i play multiplayer and i connect to someone elses server, if it shows the Modem icon next to the server name, i can connect. But when i try to connect to a server with the computer icon, it says "FAILED TO CONNECT".
But if i get into a game (any game at all in multiplayer, excpet mine) I start playing, and i can never walk straight, becuase it goes back and forth and stuff and if i turn, it keeps sending me back in the direction i was, and i can only move about an inch each time becasue the time jumps and stuff (i.e.. it will say 10:27 on the game timer and it will go like this 10:26 - 10:28 - 10:27 - 10:28 - 10:26 etc., etc.) It works fine in single player mode, though MY specs are-- T2200 EMachines Microsoft XP home edition 2200+ AMD athlon XP processor 7200 RPM Comcast Broadband cable connection The newest Direct X My ping or MS or whatever is between 40 - 80 all the time V 1.4 of BF1942 S3 ProSavage8 Video card If there is any other specs i need to put in? Any help would be great too. Kevin |

1st make sure you have no firewall protection or file sharing prog's enabled. 2nd, see if you can get some internet connection troubleshooting software from your ISP. See if you are getting a constant ping and see if there are dropped packets. If your ISP uses a Proxy server, it can sometimes work as a firewall or bottleneck. If this doesn't happen at night or late eve's then it could just be a large load sharing your bandwidth. If it happens to you everytime you play regardless of time then there could be a prob on your end or the ISP's end. Try having your ISP diagnose the prob. Just call and ask. Hope something here helps.
