Default Trains

They should let you use trains, to drive use distances, and to transport soldiers. That would be really cool.

Haha...that's asking for a raping....could you imagine a train travelling along...then two tigers pop up....that train is SOL buddy....and the maps aren't overly huge to start with...i could see if this game didn't have planes or high-powered tanks...maybe...but this game doesn't need any trains...

If you want trains...i think a new Train Simulator was just released or something...

it would be kinda a cool. like in enemy at the gates the train had an AT and AA guns as well as several MG. It's a cool idea. But i wouldn't see it happening any time soon.

as fun as the idea sounds, i really don't think that any of the bf42 maps are anywhere close to being big enough to require a train...

Not so much a train as a really really big gun...

didn germans had those trains(i called thems forts, not trains) where was realy hewy armor and looooots of BIG guns? i dont remember name but wasnt it somthing like panzertug? protecting one of those against russinas, it could be intresting. but so much guns so it brobably could be night map. but but... so i think that some maps could use trains! I allways get killed when i driving full speed at jeep... but trains... how you can schedul them so that they wasnt allway of that side of track where enemy is?... well i dont think that sivilian trains could be good i dear (they would be great target if you are bomber pilot) but that kind panzertug map could be good if it cant move

I really dont know of any supertrains the germans built, but anything that could make an interesting bombing mission would be nice. It could also double up as an artillery battery that you could bomb, sort of like a battleship except on rails.

well it WAS battleship in rails...and it was full AA guns (2 per car). i could say that one train hold about 16 AA guns(+machineguns)plus those huge 330mm howitzers(riped down of an battleship and mounted in train) and early vers. 150 howitzers(those too was battleships) whats were about 8 per train... so you see those realy was moving gun lavet and it could be priti good map that bombing run... (again soviet bombing(someone must create sturmovik in game )because those things were used in soviet front) but the how to start the map? could it be so that players start whit planes? or are we just putting train going some kind loop and then mountain and behind of that base where are few heavy tanks (AMBUSH, AMBUSH, AMBUSH!!!) and airplanes (those sturmoviks) and we still need to be careful on mines and exppacks (ahh... more exitement) and of course it would be night!!! otherwise attac was suicide if its clear day... and more exitement when you must fire you weapon there where u seed last bullet coming! and there were 2 enginmes in this monster and it need LOT of hp... not so much speed (about half of jeep´s max. speed)
and again:sorry for bad english
heh... about 1.5 times carrier hp could be good at whole train

A good war without trains is like a bowl of beans without hot dog chunklets. I've been wanting trains for like.....forever. We already have destroyable buildings now, hopefully we'll eventually see destroyable bridges. I'd love to see a train plunging off a destroyed bridge.
You could mount it with mg's, aa guns, and a cannon to protect it. It would also be cool to see a mod to where you could take prisoners. Imagine a train full of Axis prisoners being transported back to base. The Axis side would think twice before bombing it.....unless they're all stupid tk'ers.

so basiclly you want a nazi death camp train, only its an allied death camp train?

that big gun sort of looks like the Paris Gun, only the PG was about 5 times that size and needed cranes to hold it up!

haha, id be funny if someone was repairing a tank or sniping or something on the tracks, and then hes like, whats that noise? and he turns around and theres a train, and hes like "ahhhhhhhh!" splat.
it would be kinda cool if the train was like a mobile spawn vehicle, and instead of transporting people, it would just be a train that could be speedily driven around, with lots of cannons and guns on the sides, so id be kinda like the ac130 in DC.

Well not necessarily a death camp train, more like a prison camp train. Not unless you want to pick off the prisoners one by one on the way there, while I'm not looking.

well i didnt think at camp train... it hink it somekind coral sea in rails type map... so lets give lots of airplanes in soviets and lots of guns in axies. so it could be good if it is made good....so there must be owns walkways insaid train if its to want work good... (i dont remember terms!!! :P )
but nthing like prison train... just that kind panzertug ehat it was and GOOD planes to soviet (those sturmovik) lets say 2 boms... ( can airplane carry rokets in this game?(like... 2 roked taken out of stalin organs)) and when soviets dropped engineer to lay mines on rails... well what els u can do than stop train and let engineer clear path? and then train would be like sitting duck... so? it couldn be too easy... and all of those aa:s so it wouldnt be easy for noone!!! well can all say is that roket thing bossible?

Mustang's carried rockets on a regular basis in WWII.

Not anti-air, but for CAS or just killing off TOO (targets of opportunity)
