Server Etiquette

I tell ya, where are the good old days? When I was laddering Ghost Recon and we would play in other teams' servers we would always give the host a GG and TY for the games. They did the same to us. The ladder eventually petered out but it was a good group of players. Now with our BF server runnning we have good players in most of the time but we always seem to get a few whinners now and then.

I played last night. Probably the first time in a week. The map was Bocage and the only Axis spawn they had left was on their side of the bridge closest to their main base. I grab the Arty form the Sawmill and begin to ound it to soften it up for the Inf?Armor combo. Then this jackass starts whinning about spawn camping, etc... I don't know what this guy expects from Arty but it was doing as it was meant to do, blast areas that they control and kill them. Shame on them for spawning over and over in and area under attack. They still had their uncap to spawn at. We had some guys moving foward but they were getting wiped out by the Tigers. So shithead keep whinning. We have a few rules go up on the screen as you play. I wrote one only, no whinning. This guy either doesn't know how to use arty or is just a jackass. Maybe he tard rushes as if it was a tank? Who knows?

I finally killed him a few times with my assault weapon before I banned him for being an asshole.

Thats all I really ban are the asses. Their game style may suck but I don't ban them for it. Another couple of asses found themselves booted later for just totally disrespecting the guys in the server. They come into a server they are not even investing in and piss and moan, screw em.

No whinning; just play. Have fun. I think some people really take for granted what some teams do to get a server up and running. They are not exactly EA public servers.

Oh well, good games.

yea, i too noticed that over the years the average intelligence and politeness of gamers has deteriorated, there's still a lot of nice, mature people out there, however the number of smacktards is growing and giving the community a bad image and reputation while destroying the game for those mature gamers who want to play the way the game was meant to be played, it's sad...

In short it's called the "Internet". It's full of descent and not so descent people. After awhile if you keep banning the whiners and twerps, you'll end up with a pretty good group of people.
Honestly I'm afraid to play on your server because I fear I may be banned for being TOO STINKIN GOOD!! Mmmmmmwwwwwaaahahahaha.

I don't remember that. Although when I am faced with a bad memory, I just close my eyes real tight and imagine myself in my happy place.....happy place..............happy place.... ... .

It would be nice to see a comand an admin could use to "duct tape" these players, Other words let them play but their chat feature is disabled for the duration of that map. I too get tired of the constant whining about camping or whatever their irk is for the day.....

You get the spawn camping whine alot in Berlin too if your playing the axis and have all flags , what are we suppose to do let them regroup? Theres one uncapable flag left.

One thing I've notice about larger servers , 40-60 man. You bearly get any of that because you too busy trying to stay alive than typing useless blather. So camp whiners don't play on the bigger servers becasue they get killed alot more and they don't like getting killed.

Man they need to add some features that RTCW like easy voting and in the new ET they have "Silence Player" so the player can only fight and not talk!

actually i called camper a few times tonight.
coral sea i'm an engie,just wrenchin and AA.
if i see an enemy chute over the carrier i
call out "camper" to alert the troops.i just
want them to hunt 'em down so they won't
smack me while i do my thing.
i wouldn't call it whining,but maybe i could be
one of those you're talking about.
just wanted to clear the air,that's my thing. :P

no...not that people dont know how arty works

STUPIDITY....

they see tracks & a barrel....it MUST be a tank right? and the idea that you can kill them without having to run around hopping like a jackrabbit on speed annoys them since that the only way they know HOW to play

in short? ignore the morons and continue to use arty to blast them back to the stone age

just MAYBE they will either A) learn how to play THIS game instead of Q3 or B) leave
