Default Team Bases

Will there be bases in the form of buildings for the final game? If so, will they be able to hold vehicles and/or ammo stores? If so, that would be awesome. It would add alot of strategy to the game, in terms of tasks being assigned and enemy strategies.

P.S. I don't know if there is an obvious answer or I am asking too much. It is so confusing! For me at least... :/

Ok I will stop with the P.S. making. It would be cool though, to have something like that in a game. It would be cool to have a base like a garage for all of the necessities of the team. And due to the lack of some emoticons not being supported, the devil is very ineffective at changing my mood.

Fron what i have seen buildings are small sized with a possiblity of an aircraft hanger, which is probably the largest building you can enter. I have seen screens of a factory building but no word if you can enter them.

Yeah, it is a good addition to the game, as well as to the strategies of other teams. It sure beats spawning random vehicles like in Tribes 2.

In conquest mode, there are small bases.

Those bases have buildings in them, which you can enter. you can also climb up in 1 of the guardtowers (which all have a mgun), and guard the road which leads into the base...

So I think your dreams are likely to come true Vulcan

What about entering the larger buildings, Ive seen footage of entering the very small almost hut like buildings but what about that large factory i keep seeing in screens?

I've also read that there will be hospitals that you can enter to replenish your health, just hope they keep that feature for the final release. There's nothing more frustrating than running around trying to find a medic to cure you, or waiting for someone to respawn as one.

What history channel were you watching?
ALthough the hospital idea is a good one, I hate when you spend a good portion of the game dodgeing bullets looking for health because its down to 4.

Right here is a little run through if what i have seen, yes there r curtain buildings you can enter. Most of these tend to be bunker style buildings eg observation point with mounted MGs. In most of thees buildings there are also medic cupborads where you can stand and your health replenishes also ammo crates where the same thing happens. but i have not seen buildings get destroyed in anyway which in my oppinon is a shame, i would love a game where instead of blowing up a piece of equipment like a Flak 88 it was more like destroying a nazi hide out or weapons factory now that would be cool!!! (this is meant for mulitplayer not single) i think it adds a more tactical style to the game!!!

I tink terrain that blows away would be better, wouldnt it be cool to make your own fox hole with some major artiliery!

it does from a curtain point of view. for example u see sand on tha africa level fly up in the air with n explotion but in know way does the terrain get mishapened. I think it will be still a while befre we see that!!!

I think taht taht is still impossible... that takes alot of progrtamming to make THAT happen... I mean.... real sand on wich you walk... yeah right....

What a shame that they took deformable terrain out. Imagine a map becoming more and more 1 huge cratre. That wouldve been soooo sweet. But oh well, i guess my Athlon XP 1700+ wouldnt have been able to take DT, so, it was good they left it out....

Geo-mod, it was done in Red Faction. When an explosion hit something, a hole would be made or a part of it broken off. You could blow anything around you and that in turn could affect the environment in real time.

BF is highly graphical and the deformable terrain would take just that much more processing power, plus what do you do with the terrain around buildings? eventualy with enough shelling the building foundation would be exposed and you could walk under it unless they make buildings able to take damage, just that much more processing power. Its too much of a hastle, in the future i look forward to it being widespread in FPS.
