Yes it crashes a ton.
I can join a game and it might crash. I can join and just join a team and when I spawn it crashes. When I'm playing in the game, it might crash in 5 mins, 10 mins, 20 mins, or not crash at all! But its really pissin me off I love the game. but I HATE the crashing. Specs : Windows XP AMD Athlon 1.33 Ghz 512MB DDR RAM GeForce 2 400MX |

Got the patch and still intermit crashs
Could it be the graphics Res? thats all I played with Intel 1.8 256ddr Gforce4 64mb It seems to be playing ok in 800 x 600 but crashes more in 1024 x 786 16 or 32 bit. Also it seems to rather use its internal browser than the eye or Game Spy. any ideas? Oh I do have IE 6 installed and have heard that it can case issues. |

There are people running with 128 but they experience real laggy performance even on very fast systems. 256 MB of RAM is probably the minimum to get good performance but you may want to consider upping that as much as possible. Since everyones systems are configured differently, try and shut down any unneccesary apps running in the background. Anti vrus or PM message services.
It is possible the crashes are occuring when the game peaks the Mem available. If your hard drive is sounding off while you are playing, then you probably need more memory. richcz3 |

If it means anything, I'm in the same boat...
Single Player demo = perfect stability... Multi-player = crash 1 - 5 minutes into a game... ARGH! P3 733 512 Meg GeForce3 64 meg I've tried lowering res etc. etc., updating drivers etc. etc, seting 60 hz etc. etc......... |

I had this exact problem, my spec is
1 gig athlon 512 sdram 128 meg radeon 7500 sonic fury sound card anyway... i found that turning on hardware acceleration in the sound options eliminated 99% of my problems. From having 5-8 bf crashes a day i only had 1 yesterday and that was caused by a program in the background crashing performing an illegal op. worth a try neway. |
