Default TKER Hell!!

What the hell has happened?!!!!!! I havent played a pub server in months now, finally updated the game. Went on one of the EA servers, holy crap!!!!! There were people with scores in the negative 100's The vote kick is easier than ever but people were'nt using it. All i wanted to do was get some practice in before the next campaign for BFE started. EA better switch to an auto/kick system for their servers or nobody's going to want ot play on them

Like EA would care. If nobody played on their servers, more bandwidth for them.

EA doesn't care about their servers because you don't pay a monthly fee. If you payed every month the servers would be much better and cleaner.

Well said! And when BF1942 starts to slip, EA will be allocating those servers elsewhere anyway.

I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I know I've found some good public servers that kick and ban TKers for repeated TKs. You just have to look around some.

Then again, you have unmodded servers where kickings have to be voted on, and only two people on the whole damn server know how to vote.

Umm yes you can...

You can tell the names of the people in the server, who is in first place, if friendly fire is on or off, vehicle fire on or off, death cam on or off... lots more to. Use the in game rules tab, the little arrow at the bottom of your server list while searching for a game.

good pubs are mickland.com and coloradobf42.com

and i totally have noticed the proliferation of tks.
and i've played pubs every night for 6 months.
one night everything was cool. next night? grenade spamming in the axis hanger on stalingrad. doesnt get any worse than being spawn tkd.
voting is easier, but no one participates.

remember the second greatest game of all time? wolfenstein?
the complaint system was wonderful. all games should have this.

WEll if people don't use the kick vote, than they are just as bad as the tkr's. You dont like it, then stop them.

maybe i'm reading this the wrong way.
but THAT was Rugged's point, no one will vote when you try and kick the t'krs. so they keep on being asshats.

Any GOOD server will have FF on. Having FF off makes the game unrealistic and leads to 'nade spamming. Besides, I can't stand when an enemy soldier runs right up to me with a rocket launcher, fires it in my face at poin-blank, and doesn't get damaged by the blast of his own rocket.

That was part of the problem, no one knew how to use it. Its even easier with the number id system, kikc and then the number. Fast and easy

That's because you can't kick people by name if they have spaces in it, but it doesn't fix the problem of people not kowing the damn console command, or even what a console is. I think I'll be moving back to Earth and Beyond if this mess gets any worse.

It sure isn't any fact that a good BF server will have FF on. I would consider a 3.06ghz P4 , 1 gb of RAM, running Windows 2000, connected to an OC line to be a good server. Incase you haven't realized, the game isn't very releastic. FF on/off lets the game be played two totally diffferent ways. It's like vanilla and chocolate (soft serve), which are you gonna have today?

You must really suck if an enemy can get a rocket off into you at point blank. The force is telling me that you think you're a very good Sniper, I mean Scout!

I haven't seen you around in a while Oddball, what movie is that avatar from?

I usually play on clan severs which are often moderated ( such as the x/who Clan servers) and have better regular players.

You don't have to worry about kicking people by name because they have the player ID #'s on the scoreboard now. = game.voteKickPlayer (ID)
