Ah, how good it feels to hear someone mentioning Codename Eagle

I doubt Battlefield Vietnam will use Refractor 3, probably just a modified Refractor 2 engine. DICE Sweden has made both Refractor 1 and Refractor 2, so I doubt DICE Canada would make Refractor 3, just wouldn't make alot of sense.

the game "engine" , ie the code/parameters Bf'42 is built for/on to run.
the research and development took what like over 2 years?
that's where the real headaches and improvements are sorted out.

developers are under a lot of pressure to churn out titles AND make money, so the add-ons, expansions. mods, etc are a way to do that without
re-inventing the wheel (engine) everytime.

It's good to see that the server commands stay generally the same. Kind of like how "reconnect" works in Quake 3, RTCW, MoH, SoF II, JK II, etc.
