I put the thing down and it dropped and when it hit the ground, the main trigger fell off and I don't know where it went, so now I can't fly a plane anymore.. Wahhhh*cries* heh. This sucks.. :-\

Just bind fire to CTRL or something and then keep the rest of the flying on the axis.

I broke a stick a couple years ago when I banked a bit too enthousastically to the left. I heard a snap and the stick would fall by itself to the left. :/ The week after I did the same thing to the right, heard a snap and now it fell easily to either side. A couple weeks after that, the up and down axis broke and that was the end of my 10 dollar joystick.
If yours is a brand name stick though, call their support number and tell them it broke and you might get it replaced for free. It's worth a shot, as others have noted.
