Timeouts and need to login again

I dunno if this was covered here before (yet), but I get kicked from the forum regularly by the system and have to login again.

Not sure if there is a time limit, or does this happen after so many posts or actions..??? Any ideas?

it's happened to me like twice...where as I need to log in again.

Weird, you shouldn't have to unless you clear your cookies.

No cookie clearing ... (I eat em). But seriously, it's like there's a time limit or something, 'cuz I get bumped every so often at intervals.. Just not certain if it is time-related or how much browsing I do through the forums.

Here's an example: say I'm about to post a reply to a message and I've written up a nice essay... I click on the "submit" button and all of a sudden I find myself at the login screen. Hit the back button on my browser (IE6.0) and all that I wrote is gone - get a blank "post a reply" screen. It is kinda strange, but I've been experiencing this on a regular basis now for about a week.

if you enter your details without pressing back, you wont lose what you have written and it will post it.

Are you sure that you have enable cookies on the options here?

Are you sure you dont have some metal disorder where you logout, then forget that you have and get angry because somone somewhere logged you out

Same thing happens when/if I re-login after I try to post a message and find myself at the login page instead. Go figure. Read urseus.... what I wrote before - that was an e-x-a-m-p-l-e.

That's very weird. I had a problem like that some time ago, don't remember how I fixed it though.
This board doesn't have any cookie timeouts though. I think I have only logged in like 10 times ever since the board came up, lol.

Remember to tick that little "Remember me" box or something, it helps.
