It just struck me how many posts we have a day here.

In the past year, I would check these forums once a day, read and maybe respond to the one or two threads and then dissapear again for 24h.

Now its almost like in the early days of BF 1942 (although still not quite as good),

I guess we have to thank BF 2 for that...

Yep, slowed right down to a crawl. At one time, I think it was just melee making posts. I already knew this would happen. BFN forum database is so full of helpful topics from 3 years of help.

Funny thing is, I am still playing more '42 than BF2.

I cannot imagine playing '42 after playing BF2. I did toy with the idea but I could not be bothered installing it all, d/ling patches and then only playing for 10 mins...hehe.

After the sprint/squad/madness that is BF2 I dont think I could ever play '42 again and get the same buzz. Sad really as I devoted 618 hours to DC/'42.

Well thats over a period of more than 3 years (well, I was overseas for 6 months) and compared to other forums, thats not a lot.

For such a quality forums, the amount of time we have been here is a pretty good achievment.

Other sites that survive this long turn into shitfests like bf1942.com.

I led way back in 2002, maybe even into early 2003. I sold the house and moved into an apartment while my house was being built. Was offline about 2 months and also my son was born around then.
