You've heard the stories
You've seen the film
You've played the game

To attually stand and look at it for real is something else
Gives you some idea of the hell those poor chaps went through

The hilarity of that last post, remind me of that US tourism ad that on tv at the moment.

The one where they show you all those famous films and say come to america to visit the set, implying that the only decent thing there. HOw very shallow.

Now back on topic, if you do go to frnace on a battlefields trip, make sure you go to the Lochnagar Crater, there wasw more than one war in france you know.

Its just marketing. What do you expect in a 30 second spot, a detailed list of attractions? Kind of like the ads for Ireland a while back which amounted to "come see the green-ness".

Im just pointing out that if you going to visit france you should go to some of thw WW1 sites as well.

Allso for an advert for a country just show pretty helicopter flyover shots of mountains and lakes and stuff.

The aucahl catch line was on the advert, "youve seen the films, now visit the set". FFS how stupid and shallow do they think we are.
