Is it worth to OPEN is or return it to costco ASAP... What do u guys think? By the way i have BF1942~ Forgotten hope, and desert combat. I feel like its enough. But what do u guys think?

I say open it, make a copy then return it and say it keeps crashing at random times. Crashes are very hard to prove if they don't happen at specific places, then just get a refund or another game.

*Edit* Please ignore due to having reconsidered my moronic post.

I'd say that's pretty lame!! I'm all for the try before you buy thing (aka "file sharing"), but just blatantly screwing somebody (even somebody as financially capable as Costco) is very small minded. If you open it, keep it, if you don't and want to return it, then do so. I don't recommend doing what the asshead, Damien, suggests.

Ok, maybe I was a little hasty with that advice. The only games I've done that with are PS2 ones, and only after paying £45?!?! and realise that the game I've bought was the cheapest, nastiest and bug ridden piece of crap I have ever played. I've never done it with PC titles because thankfully all the games I have bought were reasonably good. That advice was only given due to me remembering how much Sony and HMV screwed me over with a PS2 that happened to break only a week after the warranty ran out and they gave me a resounding "tough shit, it's not our problem". I'm sorry for the bad advice and I take it back.

Yes indeed it is. Everything over here (England) is charged at stupid prices. .The prices of PS2 games has dropped to around £35 now due to the Xbox/Ps2 price war but it's still total bs. Doesn't matter anyway now though since mine is in the bin. (after smashing the damn thing to pieces after seeing "Disc Read Error" one too many times)

It still doesnt matter how much it costs. If you dont like to pay that price then dont buy it. If enough people dont buy it then the store and company will be screwed. But dont go making illegal copies just because your too cheap and pissed because the price is high.

1.play secret weapons. it is a good game.

2. try not to buy a PS2 game for £45. i do not know what the gaming industry in Great Britan is like, but that sounds steep. if you are not sure about a game, ask a friend how it was before you buy it. go on the net and read some reviews. if this still does not satisfy you, go to Blockbuster (or whatever) and rent it. ***heheh... i wonder how much Star Wars: Galaxies will run for on the upcoming European release... it hasn't come out yet has it?***

3. Why bother with ebay??? really, is it even worth the trouble?

I finally broke down and bought if from Target for $25 (on sale). It seems okay. Yes some of the tanks are dumb, but they all have their special uses. I love the Flakpanzer though! I just wish they had not made your head stick out of the top. In reality they were able to sight through small openings in the protective armor (or were looking straight up). Oh well...balance I guess.

It seems like both the flak and the calliope have weaker armor then their tank counterparts (which was not the case for real). So that bugs me a bit.

On the jetpack... seems kind of useless to me. In a bot game you might use it effectively because they seem to ignore sounds. Also it doesn't really let you "fly across the map". More like take really long jumps (like you can get across an avg. river). I was unimpressed. Of cours a jetpacker wacked me on Hellendorn trying to get near the center flag, but he snuck up behind me on foot (I only heard him lift-off after I was dead).

All in all some of the maps are cool. I like the night fighting at Telemark.

Cheers,
Jim

I prefer SW over vanilla BF... Mainly because I wanted the new maps... some of those are just awesome!

I also like the newer vehicles. The flak panzer is fun to drive by an enemy runway and shoot the planes down as they try to take off! :P

Look at how extortionate game prices are over here, http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/navigate...;-1&pGroupID=6. The PS2 game prices have dropped £5-10 since the price war with microsoft but they're still bloody expensive and PC titles aren't much cheaper.

Going OT but try Play.com, their prices are a lot lower than most, with free delivery to boot. Though I do agree that most UK game prices are too high, especially when a game is released in the States for $40 yet it goes on sale in th UK for £40, since when was the pound equal to the dollar?
