Yep it's true. I've clocked some online time and have only two real gripes with this expansion:
1) Peenemunde. Was the level designer on holiday the day someone put the vehicles in this map? Vehicles at axis main base, the furthest from the action and the only initial spawnable axis point: 1x Wing 2x Natter 1x Motorcycle and sidecar 1x schwimwaggen Making for a total of 7 available seats, and that's only if no-one hops straight on the bike or scwimwaggen and spazzes off on their own, which they invariably do. To make it worse, the allied base which is within easy reach of two flags has: 1x medium tank 1x heavy tank 1x motorcycle and sidecar 3x buffalo amphibious! Making a total of 21 available seats. Plus when they take the south flag they get two rocket planes and a wing. What always happens on this map is that the axis side all spawn at main base (because there's nowhere else) and everyone except the first 5 to spawn have a massive walk to the first flag. If you don't get there first then the first 3 people that do run off with the Flakpanzer, Sturmtiger and Tiger, leaving half the team still without any transport and having to run the entire length of the map. Pure lunacy, because IMO the only way to get anywhere on this map is to not spawn in the first round but wait for one of the first players in to take a flag somewhere closer to the action. Apart from this one thing it's a great map with lots of tactical opportunities and intense fights. My second gripe is the Wasserfall. No it's not too powerful, or weak, or difficult to control. It's just that it's minimap dot is bugged. When there's no-one in it the minimap shows it as a grey dot. When anyone gets in, whether friendly or enemy it just disappears. Every other stationary weapon gets a dot of your team's colour indicating that there's a friendly unit in it. Last night on Essen some numbnuts Ally kept getting it (why, they have no aircraft?) and as my job as Wing pilot is keeping the sucker offline to keep the C-47 flying I managed to TK him about 3 times. We didn't even have the West flag so there's no reason to assume that he's there. ![]() |

ya if you dont spawn beside a vehicle an get in INSTANTLY your stuck. Once the allies have their 2 flags an mine bridges their pretty much set for the game. Course it doesnt help that 6guys usually just stand around the launch rails waitin on natters.

i didnt like that map, but it was for other reasons.
it seems hazier than the other maps, doesn't it? there is a fence around the airfield!!! if you move the wing AT ALL other than waht you are supposed to do then BOOM! you take off only a few feet above the far wall, and if you tap right at all you wil run into the right fence.
