Graphical Issues/Glitches:
-The propeller on the german amphibous jeep doesnt turn, even when it's in the water. -Sometimes animation reloading k98 mauser grenades or throwing handgrenades doesnt play. -Sometimes infantry will go prone and sink into the ground or go prone and be floating 5 feet above the ground (saw it happen near a tank). -Wierd horizontal black line sometimes appears in the driver's window view of the Flakpanzer, looks like it might be a jagged part of the turret model poking through into the player's view. Balance Issues: -Axis Natter is way better than Allied Goblin in all areas except it's limited fuel. Even as an anti-infantry weapon, the Goblin is next to useless. It's best ability is crashing into enemy tanks which the Natter can do even better (which it only needs to do when it runs out of fuel/ammo because it's rockets can kill a tank in one shot). This may prove only be an issue on this map or in the demo, but it's a big one. -Axis engineer is now much better than allied IMO. Allied loses it's bolt action which can be like a sniper rifle in skilled hands and gets a shotgun that doesnt do nearly enough damage even at close range. Plus I think the grenade lancher is overall more useful than the exppacks (since mines are usually a better way to fight tanks) -Axis sniper rifle has almost 3x the rate of fire of the allied bolt action with no loss to power/accuracy making them far superior. -Allied's medic gets the sten gun which is an exellent weapon. But that's still 2 superior axis classes to 1 superior allied classes with the other two classes more or less even. In other versions of BF the classes were much better balanced. Axis had a slightly better medic, allied had a slightly better assult and almost no difference in the other three classes. When one side gets a noticeable 2 to 1 class advantage, the game becomes inbalanced. Maybe this will become less noticeable on other maps or in the final version but I think they should consider: Give the allied sniper a semi-auto as well. (I had toyed with the idea of giving him a better secondary weapon, but a smg would probably be overkill) Make the allied engie's shotgun more powerful: at 30 feet or less it should be 1 hit kill. ... and maybe replace his exppacks with sticky bombs ala Saving Private Ryan. They should be throwable almost as far as a grenade but stick to what they hit and do a bit more damage with their explosion. (maybe halfway between a grenade and an exppack damage-wise) Other Ideas: I think that broken bridge by the church in the map is cool as hell (lol can almost make it across the jump in my motorcycle) but wouldnt it be cool if the bridge was there at the start of the map and was destructable? |

Hey, i like the shotgun ! Just for its sound it should stay in the game
Other errors : - The hands of the motorbike driver are not really attached to the steering Balancing : - Flakpanzer is too strong. Either lower its armor, its firing strenght, or limit its guns angle like the flakpanzer in EOD. Ive never seen a Flakpanzer being used against the planes, they are to fast, its only used to kill infantry and tanks. |

Shotgun is kinda a joke. Don't put a gun like this in BF1942 game.
I shot someone with a "shotgun" up close. My kill zone wasn't exact enough. I didn't get off another round of shotgun blast to him. I died. The shotgun is pretty much the same as the bolt action rifle in SW, close range. |
