Default "Secrets of WW2" expansion pack details

Just read this interesting article that's on "IGN Insider" about the "Secrets of WW2" expansion pack. It details some of the new weapons and new vehicles and two new classes of infantry that will be in the new expansion pack.

thanks

somehow, ... after reading that.... i feel better about stupid weapons.
objective based maps will rule joo. think rtcw, but with vehicles! nice, also glad to hear that the rocketpacks get 15 seconds airtime only.

you know what would be COOL? in real life, all these experimental weapons were as unstable as you can imagine. the jet packs would explode!

i think in the stupid wepons mod, there should be a 1 in 5 chance of detonation every time you use one. wouldnt that rule??

Actually I read somewhere in there that those packs will blow quicky if shot at and that if you fly in them too long you'll blow up too (something about overheating)..

EA One Eye posted about the packs exploding when shot & overheating long ago on here

I love the C47 idea.....the OBJ maps.......all that

but I still wish they had the jetpacks stuck where the sun dont shine

there are to many things that were really in WWII they could be adding

P38's P40's, M1's, a hundred things that have been named over & over

what we dont need is pulp fiction :/

EDIT: I just read the linked article....and several things in it have already been changed or flat out said dont exist by EA official posts.....case in point...the jet packs are a seperate kit now. They changed it so they cant be used in conjunction with other vehicles...ie "landing on the wing of a low flying bomber, capping the pilot, and then stealing his craft"

While the article is nice...its out of date already from just things posted here by One Eye and on the official boards

German Rocket Pack: Real jetpacks can fly for fifteen seconds before needing additional fuel. Though exact flight time is unknown, this one will also only fly in short bursts and will run out of fuel. Instead of being attached to a character class, the jetpacks will be found scattered across specific maps, free for anyone to use at anytime. Also, you can shoot while you're flying! Imagine landing on the wing of a low flying bomber, capping the pilot, and then stealing his craft! Excited yet?

I am begining to change my mind. Those bastards at DICE made a huge historical error into hella fun gameplay.

I dont like the eagles nest level though thats inaccurate.

Sounds cool, although i wont be getting it, im far to busy playing SWG.

The strumtiger is one of my favorite WW2 vehicles, im happy they put it in, what damage that will do to enemy ships and vehicles

What would be nice is the Gustav Gerat 60cm SP mortars, which were actually USED along the eastern front.

Yeah, let´s hope they do insert a flamethrower. SW will probably be a lot better than R2R, but instead of all these Covert Missions I would still prefer the atmosphere of desperate battles, with deep trenches, wrecked houses and whistling artillery barrages.

PS: BF needs Geo Mod.
