2142 Northern Strike expansion
Alright, a few questions for anyone that has bought and play this expansion...does buying it and installing it give you any free ranking up? Or does it just allow you to unlock those top tier unlocks once you make it up there, along with the new maps and whatnot?
I've been playing 2142 quite a bit lately, and a few days ago made it to First Lieutenant Silver, and was wondering if the expansion was actually worth the money.

I believe it only allows you more unlocks, similar to what Special Forces gave with BF2. I think Sarge owns it though, so maybe he can give you a better answer.
