Antother cd key multiplayer issue.

I just purchased BF2 and the SF expansion pack. I downloaded the latest patch then installed SF. Then installed the latest patch again. Im getting the invalid cd key error. Now I've crawled the web looking for an answer. All the solutions Im comming up with involve the booster pack "Euro Force". Do I really need to spend another 10$ on a booster pack just to play multiplayer?

No, you do not need Euro Force. I suggest that you make sure you are joining regular or SF servers. If it still asks for your cd key, then you could reenter it in the registry, or reinstall BF2.

If you have Battlefield 2

Click Start.
Go to Run.
Type regedit and hit OK button.
Click on plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click on plus sign next to SOFTWARE.
Double click on Electronic Arts folder.
Double click on EA Games folder.
Double click on Battlefield 2 folder.
Double click on ergc folder.
Data displayed will probably have x9392 only.
Right click on it and select Modify.
Type in x9392 and then your CD key.
note: don’t include hyphens.

Example: x9392(your Battlefield 2 CD key here)

If you have Battlefield 2: Special Forces

Click Start.
Go to Run.
Type regedit and hit OK button.

OK, now i have the same problem wiht my Batttlefield 2 game, but all i bought was the booster pack...do i need teh Special Forces expasion to play the booster pack... because i can play on the singleplayer servers, but not on the multiplayer...its annoying, and ive tried the registry edit thing, it wouldnt let me modify the code...also i have vista is this a problem? please...i need help.

You don't need SF. Do you have the 1.4 and 1.41 patches? If it still has problems, I'd try reinstalling everything.

thats what i did...three f**king times adn ten it gives me the internet window saying that have to put in m account name and registration code...i do that, my name is millint and i type the registry code....BAM it doesnt work...
