Default How good are you?

I've only got 1 hour offically in a ranked vanilla server and I'm wondering about all the vanilla conquest players and their style of play. The modders for our S.F. COOP mod have been tweaking and changing the AI to act more and more human. They'll bunny hop, they'll hide behind objects, they'll jump off roofs and shot you on their way down, and they'll sneak up behind you when your at a flag and knife or shock paddle you in the back.

I'd like to get some more feedback for our modding team as to how human vs humans typically play, or like to play. Its also helpful to have conquest players try our COOP mod in online multi-player mode to review the style of play by the bots. (Single player mode is different) This will help them tweak the mod and AI even more.

We would like to see some of you skilled conquest players win a map against the Bots.

You can download and install the MOD and Maps here:

once you register.

If you do this please leave a detailed message on our forums or use our Teamspeak server 68.15.107.164:8767

Welp, good job, you just guaranteed to me that I will not be installing that mod. Why the hell would a modder actually want to program something into a bot to do that annoys the hell out of EVERYONE who doesn't do it themself?

Even though bunny hopping is annoying, it's still is very common on the servers, so I suppose it would make the bots more "human." THat doesn't really solve the problem though. I'd suggest lowering the jump-height ratios, then bunny hopping would be useless since the bullets will still hit the enemies legs/knees. This is what EA/Dice should have done from the beginning, but alas nothing has changed.

Then jumping would be pointless because you wouldn't be able to jump over anything. Tiny pebbles would own you as you feebly try to jump over them.

The term bunny hoping is generally a negative one as insinuwait demonstrated. But does not accurately apply to COOp or AI hopping. The bots don't do it to avoid getting shot or when they are close to you, they do it in order to get over objects. If you have played regular coop you'll notice that bots do get stuck behind tiny objects. We saw that this was a flaw and added jump height to allow bots to navigate directly over objects the way a human would. So don't worry, the bots and AI in our mod don't do the Human Bunny Hop, rather they jump over objects instead of bumping around them.

I'm talking about lowering not completely getting rid of jumping. It's one thing to be able to jump over walls and obstacles, but when you can jump over a 5'10" guy, that is just ridiculous. Aside form Spud Webb and maybe Nate Robinson, who was the last person you knew who had a vertical leap of even 4 feet?

Remember Battlefield 1942? It was a pain in the ass trying to jump over sand bags. They upped the jump height for Battlefield 2. I think it's fine. It's just those idiots who go around jumping. Dice decided to punish you by taking away your stamina for bunny hopping. The problem with that is that, stamina only effects your running ability, not jumping ability. What they should of done, was to make it so that if you repeatedly jumped, you wouldn't go as high. The same with lower stamina, the lower your stamina, the lower you jump. That would help the bunny hoping problem. After running, and a couple jumps, you wouldn't be able to jump at all.
