Default Will you buy it?

Well, SF comes out in 11 days and I havn't seen much attention garnerd on it here.

Will any of you be buying it on launch? I certainly wont, I may get it in a few months for a cheap price but after the fiasco that was the '42 ex packs I wont be getting it on launch.

You fool me once, shame on you.

You fool me twice, shame on me.

I think i'll wait and see. Sounds cool for the new equipment but its gameplay that i'm worried about.

Same for me, i might get it later...it seems a bit of a disappointment. If i wanted to be all special forcey i would play ghost recon or something like that. I just want more of the battlefield hardcore "lets run around and kill each other with giant tanks and planes". Not the i am going to carefully and stealthily sneak past you then slowly beat u to death with a rock. I just don't know.

I dont think they are going for the "stealthy" approach but a more tactical approach. This would be why they are putting in zip lines/flashbangs and.....jetskis :/

If mods take code or something from it that makes it required to have it, I'll get it. But as long as mods stay away from it, I probably will. None of the screens or vids have impressed me enough to want to get it.

I would have liked EA/DICE wait at least 2 more months to release this title. I sorta think it dilutes a game that is only 5 months new. Besides, the usual bugs will show up and those 2 extra months could be used for more extensive testing and tweaking.

if i win some money from my lottery tickets then i guess i will buy it. so poor right now.........

i actually enjoyed the expansion packs for bf1942. i thought the new maps and weapons were fun just that not alot of people were playing it online so it made it lame. (oooo now i see why it was lame). plus, reading the game reviews will help. it saved me alot of money.

As said above, I haven't seen anything in the screens that really makes me want this. I bought all the expansions for 1942, but I never really played them much. I either played the original, or I played mods. Unless I here a lot of amazing chatter here at BFN about how it rocks ass, I probably will stay away.

Same here. I bought secret weapons, and two days later FH came out. I only played FH since then, and later all the secret weapons servers were gone.
I havnt even played all maps online, lol.

Nope, I'll wait some time before I consider reconsidering. RtR was a let down and I didn't bother with the second commercial mod (I refuse to acknowledge these as true 'expansions'). Perhaps SF will be an exception but somehow, with the present track record, I wouldn't wager on it.

It is hard to make an expansion for a game which is only online, since mods do the exact same thing for free. Expansions only work for singleplayer and MMORPG games.
