Default First Special Forces Video released

Check out the fresh footage to the Special Forces X-Pack here: http://www.bf-news.de/index.php?go=artikel&sid=13827

Well, I must say the footage seemed more like a SP game than MP. And to be honest, I wasn´t that impressed. Thought the tear-gas effects were cool though...

tear gas effect was cool. i don't know how the zip-line will come into play though. looks like something that can be exploited.

I like how the zip line just appears after using a Half-Life 2 gun.

Hahaha - I hope that zip-line is just because it's an early version. It would look pretty nice if it was fully animated, with the line arching across the screen.

My other observation was that it looks very CS-esque, maybe because it's pretty similar in terms of teams, and because I didn't see many Battlefield-style vehicles in there

Looks awesome. Only good maps in BF2 are the close combat ones. Kill the vehicles.

Battlefield is all about the vehicles. That's what made it so innovative.

Yeah, but the whole Suqad system etc. only really works well in Infantrie combat. And thats why I think SF might be somewhat cool if they´re "inspired" slightly by CSS.

I dunno - being in a squad is nice when you're in vehicles too. I had good times with some BFNers on the Gulf of Oman demo where we each had an APC or tank. Armoured Division for the win!

And I'm pretty biased against everything CS. I think if the Battlefield franchise starts to turn towards that style of gameplay, it'll be a huge mistake. Sure, the game's owned and played by a lot of people - but the community is TERRIBLE.
