Based on the Battlefield: 2142 trailer that surfaced over on YouTube yesterday, aswell as the related PCGamer article, I've gone ahead and written a quick overview outlining the most interesting aspects of Battlefield: 2142.

Wow it sounds like a really crappy mod for BF2, except they want me to pay $50 for it.

It uses the same engine, same everything. It just has new vehicles and weapons. They haven't mentioned anything new or innovative about it. Plus the fact that it takes place in the same area as BF2 and uses the same forces. Lets not forget the shitty story line: "OMGWTFBBQROFLCOPTER! An ice age appeared in 3 years!"
