As I understand it, you actually put out bucks (not a lot) to be on equal par with current players who have achieved a level status by doing it on their own.

Paying gives you the chance to "catch you up" with those that got there on their own.

It's not a bad idea really. I doubt it will cost you that much.

I'm somewhat bummed that I've not heard anything about playing the beta, 3 weeks after being accepted.

Apparently,
There's still an insider crew of 500 testing, before beta tester appliers are able to join in.

I have the Bad Company theme song on my phone though, its an orchestra version and it sounds very similar to BF2s theme. Very fucking metal, chicks totally wanna blow me when they hear the phone ring "OMG is that the BF:BC theme song?!?! HAVE BABIES WITH ME!!!!!!" Yeah, thats how I roll.
