Get the game. You will like it and there are plenty of decent servers out there too. Just find an alternate to the ingame browser, such as ASE.

Well I read most the posts here and I think Maiki cited the best answer to what we should think of them and stahl gave the best answer for handling them. I can't help but visualize tkers as little kids, or warped adults that think they are being "bad" since their egos probably take poundings most the time since they are not very large in stature, not very smart, not popular, etc. As stated they couldn't get away with pulling a stunt like that in the real world, although we have one trying out here in the Washington DC area. He of course will be caught and put to death. It sometimes makes you wonder why we don't torture them first. In the game world it should be if you tk a certain number of times (3 or more) a game movie shows you being lined up in front of a firing squad, shot, then you lose your connection from the server. Once that happens to them every time they shoot three people and I think they like Pavlov's dogs will get the big picture. They need to get a life.

I actually also live in DC.... this is very discouraging that this guy can be so elusive, yet leave a friggen "Death" taroe card, with the words "Dear policemen, I am God" ... this man is not.... healthy

As for public servers, I only play on them and most games are great ones, maybe 1/3 of them has one or more TK´s.

If I see someone teamkilling and its obviously intentional, I kill him and/or start denouncing him and asking everyone on the server to kill him on sight. Yes, I prefer an escalation strategy. Youre right, TNT, most of them TK´s are just bored, but do you think to be bored is a stringent reason to TK? No, we´re all bored, too, sometimes and I dont kill team mates on purpose. A TK isnt just bored, he lacks of something we all call RESPECT. And the only way to learn to respect the other gamers on a server is being beaten to a pulp by the other players until he´s not bored anymore but really annoyed and leave or adapt.

Last game with TK´s I remember was on Omaha with 2 or 3 real TK´s on the allied team. The TKing escalated to a total DM on the allied ship during one complete game, there wasnt one single boat reaching the beach. In the folliwing game then all of a sudden all TKers were gone, not one remaining. I dont think they will TK a lot the next days . The good thing is nearly all TKers really suck, total lack of skill, and if you make them painfully feel it they will consider twice about TKing in future.

Default tkers

I have been known to do a lot of tking and its mostly cos I think its funny. More importantly, I think its annoying that everyone rushes to the planes and dont do any fighting. You can try and characterize us as much as you want, but I couldnt be turned with acts of kindness and would probably frag the medic healing me.
One of the funniest things about tking is the names ppl call me when i do it, thats the greatest. Some helpfull advice, if you want us to stop tking, then you will just have to ignore us and pretend it dont bother you. I usually seek out the dude that calls me names, just to get him going.

I gotta admit that Mr. Warcriminal is quite right. I ain't gonna tell about how wrong it is, but yeah, probably you're quite right.

Yesterday i was playing on a server which had tk's. Of course a few people were there killing them all the time, which ruined their game. This didn't affect my game at all though.

The tking continued for some time, after when i said that just ignore that guy he continued tk'ing for about 15 minutes and then he left. Just a coincidence? I dont think so.

Teamkilling is something is very hard to be not ignoring, especially if it just and only against you. Myself usually I pay teamkilling back, though seems that it is not a good idea.

I read most of the posts in this chain, but it leaves me wondering one thing.

Why are you teaching people how to team kill more effectively? The cheeseball maneuvar that you were demonstrating strikes me as being one of the worst example of team killing that I have heard off let alone seen. Even if it was meant as an example perhaps next time you might just want to describe it rather than pissing off all the people you killed with that grenade.

As for your ex-clan, most people wont remember the times that you played nice but the one time someone from a clan acts in an inappropriate manner will stick in their memory.

I'm not trying to teach how to teamkill, I left that as a example why I screwed up there. I am not provocating anyone to do so, instead, I want people to understand and prevent people doing that.

However, after this chain of posts, I think that you guys have come up with a variety of opinions, and I'm not trying to say that I'm totally right in this subject. It is just my opinion.

If i see a guy teamkilling, I'm not anymore going to payoff. He will get eventually bored and stop. If I see him playing by the rules, I'm not going to shoot him.

If I see a guy slapping on my right cheek, I'll just turn him the left one too..

you are a better man than i TNT, if someone slaps you on the right cheek, you give them a left cross....so they won't WANT to get another one in return fopr what they give.

You guys are looking too deep into this. The simple fact is, its fun to do sometimes. I dont do it all the time, usually I'll play right for a while, till my lack of memory makes my game all choppy, then , since I cant play, I have fun TKin till I HAVE to reboot.

Warcriminal, though I want to everyone to express their opinions, that doesn't mean i protect teamkillers. I will do always everything in my power to prevent teamkilling.

:P LoL, I dont need you to protect me dude. It's just a game, no need for everyone to get so uptight about it. I just wanna get something straight... we don't team kill cos we suck.....I do it out of boredom and the cheap thrill I get when ppl get all stressed out over it and call me names. To me, thats just as much fun as sinking the japanese battleship or "spawn killing" (which is quite fun also.). So don't none of you try and press your gaming morales on us, and lets everyone enjoy the game in our own way...'nuff said.

i have team killed before it was mostly by accident they sometimes run in front of u while you are in a fire fight or they come running right around a corner and scare the crap out of you. i think its ok if its by accident but not on purpose.

have to admit to a spot of team killing this morning, i'd been playing allies all morning and somehow spawned as axis by mistake, took out about 10 guys before i realised what was going on. Anyway my apologies were accepted, and the game went well after that.

There is such a thing as an honest mistake, maybe there needs to be a central DB of licence key vs TK rating. TK rating gets too high you get banned from any public server using the DB.

Default Tk by accident

Well this is kind of stupid but it happened anyway

There was this plane I shot down (Enemy of course)
And you know how sometimes they dont blow up? Well that happened, right over the ocean, straight into one of my allies landing craft that was full and there were people onboard without spaces so they were bouncing around.

The landing craft exploded and like it killed 10 people or so.

Would I be kicked for team killing?

(True story)
