Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade towards which we have strived these many months. Battlefield Nation is heading full throttle into Battlefield 2 and in doing so we felt the need to alert you of future military victories. In preparation for the moment of truth, we have pulled out all the stops to bring you the most up to date and complete coverage, competitions, game servers and more.
In welcoming you all back to the Battlefield we would like to direct you towards: * The latest news from the Battlefield - http://bfnation.net * Our exclusive preview of Battlefield 2 - http://bfnation.net/bf2/preview * Extensive media section, including exclusive shots of the Battlefield 2 interface - http://bfnation.net/bf2/media * A brief overview of Battlefield 2, for those of you not yet familiar with it - http://bfnation.net/bf2/overview * BFN:Forums, reskinned, reloaded and ready for action - http://forums.bfnation.net Aswell as all this, BFNation will be one of the first to bring you 64-player Battlefield 2 game servers - open to everyone, from Privates to Generals - scout the frontpage for further details in the coming weeks. Finally, be sure to keep your radio operator close to hand, as BFN will soon be releasing details about some great new competitions and giveaways leading up to the Battlefield 2 release - the prizes will be even more exciting than a second helping of C-rations, soldier. Victory is ours comrades! See you on the Battlefield. [Battlefield Nation Staff] http://BFNation.net -- Note: This was sent out to all registered forum guests 6/1/05. This is intended for those who did not register at the time or who have since changed email addresses. Thanks! |

I believe we went ahead with text as html emails are not supported by some clients, sometimes considered spam, and generally image based emails are disabled by the mail client unless user sets images to enable (see: Gmail/Thunderbird).
I don't have a problem or preference either way, text just seemed to be the best choice for the job as our intent was to stray as far as possible from "spam". |
