Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force! You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade towards which we have strived these many months. Battlefield Nation is heading full throttle into Battlefield 2 and in doing so we felt the need to alert you of future military victories. In preparation for the moment of truth, we have pulled out all the stops to bring you the most up to date and complete coverage, competitions, game servers and more.

In welcoming you all back to the Battlefield we would like to direct you towards:

Groovey, nice to see you got the mass mailing sorted out.

One comment though, the newsletter was plain text. Prehaps a html newsletter with pictures would be a little more pleasing on the eye.

I believe we went ahead with text as html emails are not supported by some clients, sometimes considered spam, and generally image based emails are disabled by the mail client unless user sets images to enable (see: Gmail/Thunderbird).

I don't have a problem or preference either way, text just seemed to be the best choice for the job as our intent was to stray as far as possible from "spam".
