I'm assuming disaster with that thing.
I bet it creates a quick vacuum and all our eyes get sucked out our heads. The whole planet will survive but only for a few days while all us blind assholes scratch and fight about for whatever food or water can be found. Except Hamish, he'll just lay on his stomach saying "has anybody seen my pants?" in a femanine voice.
