Just bought a Linksys AG241 router with built in ADSL modem. I got it because I bring my work laptop home sometimes and just because its better to be "always connected" and have a decent firewall running. I know I could just use a crossover cable but I like to surf in the other room sometimes and trust cable over wireless...stupid I know..
Trouble is I could not get it to work. I had no idea why as connecting with my ADSL modem was fine and I visited the ISP website to make sure I setup the router correctly.
It turns out there was a little notice on the quick start guide (to hell with those...I always look if it does not work rather than waste precious seconds

) that said you can only have a microfilter at the wall socket and no where in between. At the moment I have one of these going from my computer room downstairs and under the carpet to the wall socket with the microfilter:
Maplin > Telephone Line Jack Extension Cords
Plugged into it I have *another* microfilter as the connection is not RJ11 on the extension lead.
So..after my fucking essay basically all I need to know is, is there an adaptor for the RJ11 to go direct into the extension as I really don't want to arse around unpinning it, taking the carpet up and laying another cable!!! I have looked at a couple of sites and cannot find anything so help is appreciated!!!
Reps for joo....
