hey it's Ian's friend Beth. I'm the one wit the computer problems

"Open My Computer, and click "Tools" at the top, then "Folder Options"
Switch to the View tab, scroll to the bottom and untick "Use simple file sharing", and press Ok"

i did everything you said until i got to the "use simple file sharing" part. i may be blind but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there to unclick.

what now?
