Default Re: BF2 teamplay lately on my fave servers

It may be a roll of the dice as to whose on what side to make it a match. For the last 5 days..it's been a pasting by one side on a lot of servers. 165-0....215-0 ... 123-0.
This has been happening on almost every server I have played on in for last few weeks/months. Most times the winning team will lose 30 tickets and the losing team, 300. This can get quite annoying when your the only one capturing flags and defending them, and I literally mean the only one. One round I had a noobie squadmate spawn 5 times as a sniper when a tank was present at a flag. He died everytime.

Lately, I have been averaging 5-7 flag captures a round. The problem is, if you stay to defend more than a minute 3 tanks will roll in, including your own armor (stolen by the enemy), and your chance of survival decreases drastically.

I have come up with a rule of play for vBF2 that seems to work itself out in the end. If you get shot in the back(by enemy or friendly) at a spawn 5-7 times, or if you die at least 5 times with medics within 3 yards of you but that will not revive you... then its time to switch teams. Yes I know it is cowardly to switch teams, but playing BF2 is about having fun-it is a game afterall. And when you get the purple heart as many times as I have (8 times), you realize that having smacktards on your team isn't fun, it's just frustrating. Especially when they are willing to tk you for planes, helos, and tanks...then it really gets frustrating. (I'd like to point out that they usually crash the vehicles they tk'd for within a minute, making the tk utterly useless and selfish.)

This is not to say that switching teams will solve all your problems, because both sides usually have equally bad players; it is just that the team you switched to usually has less smacktards and more teamplayers. Sometimes this difference is only 2-3 players in the entire team, but it makes a big difference for the fun factor. As long as you can find at least a squad of guys who try to play as a team, win or lose, you'll probably have some fun. This, though, is hard to find on many servers.

The other option of course is to go play POE2 with the veterans, which is a fun choice as well. Lately though, I have been hitting so much lag on the servers with my old computer system that it turns into a glitch fest instead of actual gameplay. For some reason, vBF2 will run much more smoothly than any of the mods, official or unofficial. Either way, the best thing I have found with any BF2 round is to play on a few consistent servers and find out who is good and will work as a team, then when you join, just look for their team/squad and enjoy the round knowing that they will work along side you trying to win the round.
