My 2 cents on the use of snipers:

A> they suck beans cause of a lack of firepower and the fact that as soon as you get one shot on a target he starts rocket jumping like it was 1995 Quake Deathmatch.

B> one place where I feel snipers are very useful is someplace high with a good field of view. Their job isnt to shoot stuff, its just to sight everything they possibly can, especially aircraft. I like to fly jets a lot but its a whole bunch easier to plan kills if someone is constantly on the lookout for enemy aircraft and calling them out.. seems like no one ever bothers to mark the enemy bombers on Gulf of Oman for example... that stupid bomber can slaughter you, but 2 F-35s can kill it fast *if* they can find it And its a whole lot easier to not get TKs in the bomber if the person calling the tanks is at a distance rather than about to get run over.
