Have you ever seen a video of Kursk? They're mowing down trees like nothing. Big trees, too.

It would be a bit like Halo 2 where you can only blow up certain things, but a bit more expansive than that. It wouldn't be like Red Faction- you could just blow up buildings in a set fashion. Hitting a building corner w/ a tank round wouldn't delete all the rock in a certain distance form the contact point, but would instead make a pre-determined hole in that part of the wall. Takes a lot less game power to do that. You're really juist replacing one object with another, it's not dynamic.
