Like I've said before, never believe realease dates. For whatever reason, any time a company gives a release date, it never happens. In fact I don't ever recall any game coming out when it was supposed to when it was originally announced.
As far as the delays are concerned in this case, I highly doubt it is because they want time to polish the code. More than likely it is because they want time to get buisness matters worked out before the game goes gold so they'll be ready to rake in the profits.
I'm still not sure whether this deal will ultimately help or hurt the BF franchise. Seeing that EA is more geared toward consoles, this could be the last we'll see of BF. Then again, if there's a strong enough earning potential to continue the series, having EA to $back$ the BF series could be a good thing.
We'll see.
