Default Stalingard, Market Garden, Berlin - Best Maps Bar None

...by far. I know Battlefield is built so that we can have large expansive maps that incorporate tons of different locales and play styles, but maybe its the tight city MOH-whore in me that has grown an affinity for slugging it out in buildings and behind overturned street objects.

As such, these maps are the ones I have started to gravitate to and enjoy the most now. And for all you PLANE-obsessed monkeys - we have those too!

THe funny thing is that I hadn't played on ONE of these maps since getting the game. I mostly played on the island and desert maps (mostly cause those are what the server ran), and didn't venture out. My mistake.

The first map I hopped on was STALINGARD. What can I say but wow. This one pistol-whips MOH's STALINGARD into the ground. I know MOH cant have the large maps as BF was designed for, but who wouldn't rather run around a whole CITY rathen than a complex. Now I dont know if it was something built into the script or not, but I could swear that I was run over by a train or SOMETHING hit me. Maybe it was a careless player (dont remember if FF was turned on on this server). STALINGARD was well laid out, with alot of key hotspots and some pretty fancy fighting in buildings.

BERLIN came next and upped the ante. I remember folks talking about flanking on this map, that being one of the high points. And it is. While we didn't actually communicate this with each other. I hopped in a tnak after a teammate, and took off in the opposite direction as he did. We both flanked the enemies position, and lay into them. He was getting pasted, and more than likely was a nade from explosions(arriving before I did). But while the anti-tankers, and naders were comfortable in their spot, I slid in from behind and laid into them with the machine gun (yea a cock move since I couldve shelled them but I was feeling pretty confident). Suffice to say we took over the control point. Another fun move was running behind a tank, and using it for cover. The fun part comes in when someone manages to slip in under the tanks line of sight and start some "nade-planting", and being suprised to find a confidant in arms waiting for them. Lights out. (Dunno if this is actually a move or not - but pressing "ENTER" behind the tank "glitched" me under the tank it seems and I walked within the insides - )

MARKET GARDEN is another great one, this time with planes. Much of the same type of action with BERLIN and STALIN except theres that wonderful bridge (where I found many snipers in "spectator" mode - ), and the planes bombing from overhead. Not much to say about this map that hasn't been said already, but I know for certain that most of my next few days will be spent on these maps until I can appreciate the island and desert maps some more.

It'll be a hard sell though - definitely.
