Unfortunately, I don't think a new CPU will get rid of a lot of my problems. That's why I really want a new motherboard. The current motherboard is budgetware junk. Didn't even have an AGP slot! I was doing fine in all the essential games with an 800mhz processor except things were kinda slow. I'm going to try to wait out and keep the 1.8ghz Celeron because, albeit slow it does all I need it to do. Plus, I need to get a new graphics card because after my FX 5200 purchase I have lost all faith in Nvidia.
My whole idea was to make a constantly upgradeable system. I don't want to put aside my current computer and build up again. This is my baby!

Plus its all black with a metal case and I spent the extra $10-20 on the horrid Audigy 2 Platinum black faceplate!
So, sorry to shoot you down. I know you know what you're talking about. But, what should I do too keep this system? Like a mobo, RAM... I do need more ram too. When I run games it drops down to around 4 mb!!!

Windows idle leaves only around 220mb. Now that I guess I'm going with AMD, what's their "version" of hyper-threading?
