get a processor upgrade. that's where you're going to get the MOST bang for your buck. you can get a 2.4 ghz p4 that will fit your board for about 160.00
keep the rest as is.
you should be fine for h/l-2 then sometime next year, buy yourself an entire new computer. (from parts and assemble yourself) you'll be driving soon, so that means get your ass a job. the 2.4 ghz p4 /400 mhz fsb is the last upgrade for that comp.
keep it around, whole after you get a new one, that way if you have a friend over and want to play bf, you'll have two pcs.
i run a cpu, vidcard with direct connect, 2 optical, 4 harddrives, 7 80mm 80cfm fans, a rheobus, 3 12" cold cathodes, and two dimm sticks from a 431 watt psu and still have mad spare wattage.
look for an antec truppower 430 watt or enermax 465 series (431 watt) those are the two best psus that arent super wasteful and extravagant (like pc powercooling or koolance) antec has a 3 year warranty and enermax' is 1 year, but i've used them both and built hundreds of pcs with either/or in them and only had one go bad in many many years...

new driver's license huh? here's my free advice... never drive after drinking, not even a little, call your parents... if you explain the situation they will be happier that you called them than mad at the fact you drank.
if you feel you have to hide things from your parents plus get loaded and drive than smoke pot, it's totally safe.
foolish stunts and speeding are for immature kids (yeah yeah i know) unless you're on a closed course. remember that every other car on the road has the potential to have a child in it.
