The release date pushback was necessary because germany decided that certain instances of Nazi symbolism were too prevalent in the game...therefore they wanted them removed for the European version.

When I read this I became really sad. I thought BF would be every thing a WWII game where supposed to.

I hope some smart pepole makes a patch so the german get's it's symbol's.
